World Teachers’ Day is celebrated globally on 5 October to recognize and appreciate the crucial role that educators play in society. The day serves as an opportunity to reflect on the challenges teachers face and to promote better working conditions for them. In South Africa, it is a day to acknowledge the important work teachers do, often in difficult circumstances, to educate and inspire learners across the country.

Debonairs Pizza Vryburg’s thoughtful initiative aligns with the spirit of World Teachers’ Day by celebrating the unsung heroes of the education system – the teachers. It also serves as a reminder that support from local businesses and the community can go a long way in motivating and appreciating those who are building the foundation for future generations.
