TAUNG/PUDUMOE – 14 August 2026: Magalies Water has announced planned water supply interruptions affecting communities supplied through the Taung and Pudumoe Water Supply Systems later this month.

The Taung Water Supply System will experience interruptions from 17 to 25 August 2026 due to a Dry Week Period implemented by the Vaalharts Water User Association.

Affected areas include Manokwane, Nommor 1, Randstad, N’hole, Chief’s Court, Ditshilong, Richblock, Lokakeng, Veertien, Cokonyane, Kibitswane, Pinagare, Extensions 4, 6 and 7, Taung Station, Rooival, Matolong, Itireleng, Santapan, Maphoitsile, Gamodiana, Magogong, Donkerhoek, Diplankeng, Modutung and Modutung Escarpment.

Meanwhile, customers supplied by the Pudumoe Water Supply System will experience an interruption from 19 to 21 August 2026 due to construction work at the Pudumoe Water Treatment Plant Module 2. The affected areas are Pudumoe, Matlhako 1 and II, Mogopela A and B, and Myra.

Residents and businesses in the affected areas are advised to store sufficient water in advance and use available water sparingly during the interruption periods.

Magalies Water has apologised for the inconvenience and said it will endeavour to restore water supplies as soon as possible.
