It is alleged that 15-year-old Felies Sithembile was murdered on his way home from school, just after 14:00, when the suspect who is also a 15-year-old learner at another school, stabbed him with a knife.

Police in Mooinooi are investigating this murder said to be committed on Monday, 10 June 2019, in Mooinooi. According to information at the police’s disposal, Sithembile was rushed to a local clinic by a passerby shortly after the stabbing, where he succumbed to his injuries.

“The suspect who fled the scene after the incident, was handed to the police at approximately 08:30 today, 11 June 2019 by his parents. He will be processed in terms of the Child Justice Act, 2008 (Act No. 75 of 2008).” Confirmed Police Spokesperson, in the North West , Colonel Adéle Myburgh.
