Naledi Local Municipality (Vryburg)
• The government has allocated R450 million for various water and sanitation projects across the province, with Naledi being among the benefitting municipalities.
• The pipeline from Bloemhof Dam to Mamusa Local Municipality is set for completion in June 2025, which could benefit water supply in Vryburg and surrounding areas.
• The Vryburg shelter for gender-based violence (GBV) victims continues to offer support, with plans to open an additional shelter in Potchefstroom.
Kagisano Molopo Local Municipality
• The SOPA honored Dr. Ruth Segomotsi Mompati, a struggle icon born in Tlapeng village, now part of Kagisano Molopo.
• Road rehabilitation and infrastructure investments are in progress to improve rural connectivity.
• Local agricultural initiatives, including support for subsistence farmers, are part of broader economic development efforts.
Mamusa Local Municipality (Schweizer-Reneke)
