SKELETAL REMAINS FOUND IN KUDUNKGWANE

Kudunkgwane Village, Ganyesa – 26 June 2025

The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Ganyesa is appealing to community members for assistance after the discovery of human skeletal remains in the bushes at Kudunkgwane village.

The remains were discovered on the afternoon of Tuesday, 10 June 2025. According to police, preliminary observations suggest that the deceased may have been a female, estimated to be between 20 and 30 years of age, as plaited braids were found close to the scene.

An inquest docket has been opened as part of the investigation to determine the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding her death.

Police are urging anyone who may have reported or is aware of a missing female in their family or community matching the age range to come forward. Families or individuals with information are requested to contact Detective Constable Allen Moyo on 071 423 2669.

Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone, spokesperson for the North West SAPS, emphasized the importance of community cooperation in such cases. “Every detail counts. Your information might be the key to bringing closure to a family and helping police with this investigation,” he said.

This tragic discovery serves as a somber reminder of the importance of vigilance and the need for collective community efforts in addressing missing persons and related crimes.
