The high school, in Huhudi, Vryburg, will not be opening its doors to Grade 7 and 12 learners tomorrow, 01 June 2020, as recently announced by the Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga during the course of the week that was.

John Frylinck High School made this announcement through its social media page on Sunday, 31 May 2020. “the school is not ready to receive them (the learners) tomorrow” the text from the school concluded.
In the meantime, the Minister of Basic Education was set to hold a media briefing today at 18h00 in Pretoria. The VIP Team has gotten confirmation that this briefing has been postponed for tomorrow, Monday, 01 June 2020. The announcement by the Department of Basic Education was initially made on the government’s WhatsApp group at the eleventh hour. This postponement has added fuel into the anxiety fire that has been brewing in anticipation of what the Minister has to say today.

It is unclear as to many parents and learners at this point as to what the first foot forward will. Many are unsure whether to go back to school or not.
