An elderly woman was sent to the nearby Joe Morolong Memorial Hospital after she collapsed on Market Street on Wednesday, 06 May 2020, in Vryburg. Members of the SAPS and SANDF were on sight to control onlookers and to call the Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

The EMS first responders stabilized the patient on to a stretcher and gave her what seemed to oxygen. Eye witnesses say the elderly woman just collapsed out of nowhere. People who knew her accompanied her to the hospital.

Joe Morolong Memorial Hospital was not available for comment.
