The political landscape in North West is ablaze with activity as the African National Congress (ANC) intensifies its election campaign trail across various municipalities. The ANC North West Department Information and Publicity’s (DIP) Facebook page recently shared insights into the vibrant campaign efforts underway in Kagisano Molopo and Greater Taung.

Kagisano Molopo: Honoring Mama Charlotte Maxeke

In Kagisano Molopo, the ANC Member of the Provincial Legislature (MPL) Candidate, Cde. Keobiditse Lenkopane, joined forces with the Mayor of Kagisano Molopo Local Municipality, Cllr. Tshireletso Marabutse, and other MDM leaders. Their presence was felt at a touching church service held in memory of Mama Charlotte Maxeke at the AME Church in Ward 10. This symbolic gesture not only paid tribute to a revered figure in South African history but also underscored the ANC’s commitment to engaging with communities at a grassroots level.

Greater Taung: Mobilizing Support and Connecting with Communities

Meanwhile, in Greater Taung, the campaign trail led by former ANC Youth League President and 2024 NW MPL Candidate, Comrade Collen Mokone Maine, was in full swing. Comrade Maine embarked on a series of activities, starting with a visit to the Nazarine Church in Khudutlou, Ward 15, Dr. Ruth Segomotsi Mompati Region. This engagement highlighted the ANC’s recognition of the pivotal role played by religious institutions in community development and cohesion.

Continuing the momentum, Comrade Collen Maine led a diverse set of election activities in Pudimoe, Ward 05, Dr. Segomotsi Mompati Region. From door-to-door interactions and oversight visits to government institutions to culminating in a community meeting, the ANC’s presence was felt at every step. The active involvement of leaders from various structures demonstrated a united front in rallying support for the ANC’s vision and goals.

According to staunch ANC volunteer in the Dr. Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District “As the election date of 29th May 2024 draws near, the ANC’s voter contact programs are set to intensify. These initiatives aim to mobilize and empower citizens to exercise their democratic right by casting their votes for the African National Congress. The energy and dedication displayed on the campaign trail reflect the ANC’s unwavering commitment to serving the people and advancing the interests of all South Africans.”
