Born on June 7, 1968, in Manamolelo outside Delareyville, North West, Mahumapelo has held various significant positions within the African National Congress (ANC) and the North West Provincial Government. Notably, he served as the 5th Premier of North West from May 2014 to May 2018 and was previously the Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature from April 2012 to May 2014.
Mahumapelo’s political career spans several key roles, including his tenure as the Provincial Secretary of the ANC in the North West from 2005 to 2009 and as the ANC Provincial Chairperson from 2011 to 2018.
