The North West Tshukudu netball team has wrapped up their Telkom Netball League (TNL) 2025 campaign in emphatic style, defeating Sunbirds 54–44 in the Play-Off for Division 2 Position 3/4 clash on Saturday, 19 July 2025.

The tightly contested match was a true showcase of grit and determination, with both teams leaving it all on court. However, it was Tshukudu who held their composure and pulled ahead in the final quarter, earning themselves the bronze medal and capping off a stellar season.

This marks a significant improvement for Tshukudu, who finished 5th in their debut TNL season in 2024. Their rise up the rankings this year signals the team’s growing strength and potential for future title contention.

Anchoring their defense, goal keeper Jeané Visser delivered yet another commanding performance and was named Player of the Match — her fifth POTM award of the season. Her consistency and leadership at the back have been central to Tshukudu’s success.

With the podium finish now secured, the North West squad has firmly cemented its place among the rising stars of South African netball.
