VRYBURG – Young football talent Kaelo Muller from Vryburg is taking an important step in his sporting journey after being selected to join the James Mothibi Soccer Academy in Johannesburg.

Kaelo, an under-13 player and learner at Primêre Skool Floradene, has been praised by his school for his dedication, discipline and passion for football. According to the school, he has been part of its soccer team from a young age and also developed through the Waterloo Solar School Sport Program.
His move to the academy marks a significant milestone for the young player, who is now set to continue his development in a more competitive football environment.
The school described Kaelo’s progress as the result of hard work and commitment, saying his achievement is a proud moment for the school and the Vryburg community.

His latest opportunity comes as more young players from the North West continue to make their mark through academies and structured youth development programmes.
For Vryburg, Kaelo’s journey is another encouraging sign of local sporting potential, with many now hoping his move to Johannesburg will open even greater opportunities in the future.
Kaelo’s first day at the academy was on Monday, 20 April 2026.
