According to Eskom, due to a shortage of generation capacity Stage 2 loadshedding will be implemented from 17:00 – 22:00 tonight, 20 May 2022 and during the same time on Saturday and Sunday.

Seemingly, tonight loadshedding during the evening peak will not affect the Vryburg area. Should the power utility not change loadshedding stages over the course of the weekend , residents in the area should expect a loadshedding free weekend. This is in accordance to the published Stage 2 Loadshedding schedule on Eskom’s website. According to the schedule, no blackout can be expected during this weekend evening peak.
