Mamakie is a 29 year old vocalist, song-writer and musician that is dedicated to creating content to last for decades to come, her love for music began in Itsoseng in the North West province where she grew up. With her mother being a music conductor at the church, she grew up singing extensively which allowed her to improve on her vocals and producing powerful and inspirational sounds.

Catch at the Mamakie at the Mahika Mahikeng Jazz Festival 2018 on the 9th of December.

Mamakie Motlogelwa’s hit single Mahikeng  !!!

Her unique and powerful vocals allow her to produce signature songs making her very versatile while enabling her to blend or adopt different musical styles. She is deep rooted in her culture and mainly uses Setswana in her music to spread her message to the audience in which she talks about her life experiences, youth challenges and her musical journey.

Some of her career highlights include performing at the 2016 South African Traditional Music Awards (SATMA) which are highly regarded within the music industry. She also graced the 2017 Mahika Mahikeng Cutural Jazz festival with a performance to a packed crowd of over 5000 in attendance. Her amazing performance has led to her being called for more appearances across a variety of events ranging from private functions, jazz festivals and popular culture events.

She recently released a music video for her single Mahikeng and will soon follow with visuals for her latest single Tlhokomela Motho the songs are receiving good airplay across commercial and community radio stations.
Both singles are available across digital music stores, Deezer, Apple Music, Spotify, iTunes to mention a few.

Mamakie is currently working on her debut album which will solidify her position in the South African Music industry.
