Lookaround honoured with a lifetime achiever award the NW Sports Awards 2023

Lucas Lookaround Tlhomelang was on Saturday, 25 February 2023, attended the North West Sports Awards to accept a Lifetime Archiever Award for his contribution to Soccer in the province.

The Vryburg Independent Post Team (The VIP Team) caught up with Tlhomelang and discovered that the Legendary Jojo Cosmos and Orlando Pirates Defender has had his hands full over the past couple of yours attending to issues occurring from his foundation, The Lucas Tlhomelang Foundation. According to Tlhomelang, the foundation aims to “Fight the challenges faced by young people in the North West Province, hampering them from achieving at the best of their abilities.” He made specific mention of the abuse of alcohol and other substances that has great potential of dimming the future of up and coming children.

Amongst the activities the Foundation is focusing on is the annual Lucas Tlhomelang Easter Games. This Easter marks the 5th edition of this Top 4 tournament that will be hosted at Vryburg’s Extension 28, on the 8th of April 2023.

Lookaround has played for teams such as Jojo Cosmos and Orlando Pirates and has earned 3 international caps.
