After weeks that turned to months , to later turn into years , concerned members of the Vryburg public are embarking on taking a stand again the never ending water problems that continue to play out in most parts of the town. This issue greatly affecting the already neglected growing Township of Huhudi.
Community members, including Gaoretelelwe Molebalwa, have proposed an idea to tackle the water crisis head-on. The general mood around the community is that not enough is being done by those in the relevant positions of power, to an extent where the community is now forced to take matters into their own hands.

At the core of suggested idea to tackle the problem, Molebalwa has suggested, on a public forum set up to an outlet where members of the community communicate freely generally without political influence, “Baagi ba Huhudi, more so Ward 4 & Ward 8 who experience water problem the most.I have a suggestion. Not really my idea. I do think it’s a fantastic idea.Let’s ask Municipality Engineers to tell us what exactly is wrong with our water supply. We then get quotations from independent engineers to fix the problem for us. I think we will solve our problems sooner than politicians.Remember the future of this town is in our hands.” Molebalwa said, on The Concerned Community of Vryburg Facebook group.
There has been a positive response to the suggested idea, so much so that there is a venture to continue this conversation in a more intimate fashion, and by giving all concerned members of the Vryburg who are not on the web sphere an opportunity to influence the conversation. A community meeting is being called on the Friday,21 of December 2018 , for the purposes of elaborating on the idea, exchanging ideas , and evidently implementing what the meeting would resolve.

Members of the community have echoed Molebalwa’s words in support, including Popular Producer and Artist , Tebogo Lebone , pledging to gunner support in his circle of artists to set up shows aimed at raising funds intended for the proposed course. Lebone is encouraging members of the Forum and the general social media community to refrain from only talking about issues that concern the community on the internet. The producer urges proactive action that does not include public officials as lack of confidence in this sector is still far off from amendment. The suggestion here is that an effective job can done by ordinary members of the community, at a less life threatening time frame as compare to the service delivery these ordinary members of the community are expecting from relevant publicly elected officials.
Below is a general invitation to member of the community of Huhudi to attend the meeting. Molebalwa has stressed the importance of the people coming together to solve a problem, and the importance of emancipating ourselves of political conversations as it has not given us any outcome and sustainable solutions. The thought here is that less politics will be thrown around the table and more more idea will posed.

As responsible members of the Community of Huhudi, The VIP endorses the proposed call to start a conversation and would therefore like to extend this invitation to the community, to all the followers and readers of our publication to come to the table and join in the conversation on the Friday, 21st of December.
