Lefoko Jonathan known to the masses as Lino Flower started DJying in 2005. The Vryburg, born and raised, DJ is a music lover of note. Lino expressed his heart out about his love for Music to The Vryburg Independent Post Team (The VIP Team) on one of our Door Stop Engagements in 2020. True to his roots, Lino is inspired by a great number of DJs in his hometown. He named Dj Y2K to Dj Lorenzo and DJ Kissto to name a few. “I would stand in front of the dj playing until a place or event ends” Confessed Lino Flower.

He put it to The VIP Team that it was when he realized, at great lengths, that with the little knowledge and passion for music he consumed, that he can become a DJ. Passion drove him and made him follow his dream. In his novice years Lino met up with Gareth Sebitloane. “He is the one who taught me using Turntables.” He stands today as no novice with a boosting 15 years as a spinner.

“I am a Soulful House DJ but I do play hiphop and Afro house sometimes depending on a booking.” Said Lino Flower. He also confessed that he never taken this as a career but instead a hobby. He has travelled across South Africa and shared stages with a host of well known Djs including; Vinny Da Vinci,Rocco,Ralf Gum,DJ Christos,Oskido to name a few.

“My favourite place is Kuruman,that’s where I receive alot of my bookings,people there got love for music especially Deep House.” Said the humble Lino. Be that as in may, this accomplished maestro, on Saturday, 06 March 2021, hosted a one of a kind One Man Show, in the heart of Vryburg’s Huhudi township at Nka Modira Carwash.

Through The VIP Team’s consistent provoked interest of Lino’s milestones following the mentioned interaction with us, we have learned that besides having once volunteered at a local radio station in Klerksdorp(Star Fm)with Jazzy B Sheba on a Sunday show where DJs were invited to showcase their talent, Lefoko aka Lino Flower has twinned his love for music with the adoption of an evidently consistent journey and lifestyle of Personal Health and Fitness. Lefoko is said to have participated in the much spoken about 200KM February Challenge. He managed to complete the challenge at his personal record of 19 activities and before the 28 days. On Saturday, 27 February 2021, Lefoko announced on his social media feed the effect of his accomplishment. “I used to wear size 40…. took a decision to look after my health, and theres progression,I need to be more consistent.” Said the DJ.

During his inspired set at his One Man Show, his name’s sake, Lino played music that left many with words that will not stop ceasing to be spoken of. Added to the atmosphere on the night, Lino Flower was supported by fellow DJs in DJ Spourtz, P-Neddy, Slala and Starboi amongst others. Keeping to the vibe, Lino’s compatriot in music never disappointed. Feeding the intermit crowed that shared in the experience of a night filled with a good delivery of music.
