PRETORIA — Jubilation has erupted at Joe Morolong Memorial Hospital (JMMH) after Sr Van Rensburg was crowned the DENOSA National Marlyn Lehana Award winner during a ceremony held in Pretoria on 11 December 2025.
In a message of congratulations shared by the hospital, JMMH praised Sr Van Rensburg for her consistency and dedication to patient care, saying her “perseverance has shone brightly, earning you this prestigious award” and that her achievement “is an inspiration to all nurses”.
The national honour marks the third major award for Sr Van Rensburg in 2025 — a standout year that has seen her repeatedly recognised for excellence in nursing within the North West.

Earlier in the year, she was named the Cecilia Makiwane Award winner for Best Nurse in May 2025, before going on to receive the Florence Nightingale Award for Overall Best Nurse at the North West Department Nurses Excellent Awards.
Her winning streak continued when she took the title of DENOSA Provincial Marlyn Lehana Overall Winner on 13 November 2025, before elevating the achievement with the national award last week.
JMMH said it was proud to celebrate one of its own, congratulating Sr Van Rensburg on what it described as a well-deserved recognition that highlights the standard of nursing leadership and service within the facility and the province.
