According to the Department of Health, the North West Province recorded 69 deaths that are COVID19 related in the past 24 hours. Increase the total death rate to 1126 in the province. Nationally, the fatality rate is 49 053.

The Dr. Ruth S. Mompati District, as at Sunday, 21 February 2021, has 115 coronavirus related fatalities. The Naledi local municipality area is topping that list with a total of 55 COVID19 related deaths, followed by Greater Taung and Kagisano respectively. MEC of Health in the North West Province, Madoda Sambatha has conveyed his sincere condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thanked health care workers who treated the deceased.

“The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the North West Province is 60297 with 55726 people having recovered from the coronavirus with 92% recovery rate. The Province now has a total of 3445 active cases. A total of 97 cases were identified in the last 24 hours.” Confirmed the Provincial department.
