
The North West Province’s COVID19 infection rate saw a sharp spike on Sunday, 24 May 2020. This is as the Department of Health reported 13 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases to 94.

According to the Department of Health in the North West Province, 24 new cases were recorded in the Province in the past week. The Provincial Department has announced some other encouraging numbers talking to the fight against the novel coronavirus. “A total of 1119 contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Province were identified and 999 (89%) were successfully traced. 598 contacts have completed 14 days monitoring period. Only 10 contacts have tested positive.” Announced the Department.
The total COVID19 infection rate in South Africa was 22 583 on Sunday, 24 May 2020.
