According to Eskom, in a statement on Sunday, 26 June 2022, unlawful industrial action at various power stations has impacted planned maintenance and repairs, and at some stations the full complement of workers have not reported for duty. As a result, Stage 4 loadshedding is said to continue to be implemented as the week begins.

The power utility went on to allude that loadshedding stages might change at short notice.
