VRYBURG — Management of Svela’s Spykos House has confirmed that the owner of the business has been reported kidnapped after he was last seen hitchhiking from Vryburg to Stella.

In an official statement issued to the public, management said the owner did not arrive at his destination. Later that same night, a WhatsApp status was allegedly posted from his phone claiming he had been kidnapped. No further communication has been received since then.

Management said a case has been opened with the South African Police Service (SAPS) and investigations are currently underway, with the business awaiting updates from authorities.

The public has been urged to come forward with any information that may assist in locating the missing man. The appeal is specifically directed to residents in Vryburg, Stella, Setlagole, Madibogo Station and Mahikeng.

“We ask the public to remain respectful, avoid spreading unverified information, and continue sharing this message to help bring him home safely,” the statement read.

Anyone with information is encouraged to report it directly to SAPS or the nearest police station.
