Olorato Koonyaditse is making waves on the national and international stage as a young beauty queen. Born and raised in the North West, this confident, graceful and determined young girl represents a new generation of youth who are driven by both ambition and humility.

Olorato’s journey into pageantry began at the tender age of six, inspired by watching her sister win a crown. “I was hooked,” she tells The Vryburg Independent Post. “My mom was also in pageantry, so I guess I took after both.” From that moment on, her love for the stage, sparkly dresses, and empowering message of self-confidence began to grow.

But for Olorato, beauty goes far beyond what meets the eye. “Beauty to me means accepting who you are and loving the person you are, which comes from inside out,” she says. “Your character and how you treat yourself and others is part of that.”

Balancing academics and pageantry isn’t always easy, but this young queen has a system: “I prioritise—during school days I focus more on my school work, and on weekends or holidays I focus on pageant preparations.”

Her grounded perspective and maturity are part of what makes Olorato such an inspiring figure. “Be true to yourself and focus on what you are good at. Your education first, then your extra mural activities,” she advises other young girls in the North West who look up to her.

Olorato credits her parents, family, and dance team as her biggest support system. “They’ve always been there for me, cheering me on,” she shares with a smile.

Looking ahead, her goals are clear and powerful: “To share my journey with aspiring models and to someday have my own business.” And as her star continues to rise, her next big adventure awaits—her next pageant will take place in Central America, with the exact country to be revealed soon.
