Following a dissapointing 0-1 loss in front of the Mahikeng Crowd against Durban Ladies last week, Golden Ladies FC wiil head to Northern Cape-Britstown to face the now bottom of the log Richmond Ladies on Saturday at Umziwabantu Stadium. Golden Ladies FC fell to position 8 on the log after a delicious odd goal scored in the second half. It was game of two halves, but our Ladies from Mahikeng were submerged.

“We had a good crowd and appreciate the support we received from our community of Mahikeng. Often where went to in the past five games, we cannot compare last week’s crowd with what we have experinced in our outings. It is my dream that thie crowd I saw on Saturday, should follow us wherever we go”  Chairperson and owner of Golden Ladies FC Semphete Mosweusweu said. “Commenting on the game, it was a good display of football and both teams wanted it so bad and the results show that they wanted it more. It was a game of two halves and the better team won. Our gilrs oozed  with confidence from back, middle and front.They werever discplined and I could see every player was composed on the ball under pressure”  Semphete murmured.

With their position on the log at the moment and playing another bottom of the log team should be a motivation itself to the girls. It should be worrying for coach Junior Morake  that he last tasted victory in August when they defeated Thunderbirds Ladies 4-1.

The match is schedule for 15H00 on Saturday 19 October at Umziwabantu Stadium in Britstown-Northern Cape.

Golden Ladies FC, the only women’s football club in the North West to be in the SAFA WOMEN’S NATIONAL LEAGUE.
