Following National and Provincial Elections and inauguration of President Cyril Ramaphosa on Saturday, 25 May 2017, the Security Cluster of the Provincial Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (PROVJOINTS), in the North West Province , together with other government departments are working hard to ensure safety and security during the inauguration of the Premier-Elect of North West Province, Job Mokgoro , on Monday, 27 May 2019 at the Mmabatho Convention Centre.

The security forces urges employees of the following departments; Rural Environment and Agricultural Development (READ), Culture, Arts and Traditional Affairs (CATA), Home Affairs as well as Garona Government Complex and High Court, all of which are in the vicinity of the Convention Centre, that they will be allowed to utilise nearby entrances and exits in the morning on Monday, 27 May 2019 to access their offices at least until at 08:30.

 The following streets in and around the Mmabatho Convention Centre will be closed from 08:30 until after the Inauguration. 

·         Stadium Road on the eastern corner of the Convention Centre Parking 

·         Corner of Dr James Moroka Road and Hector Petersen Street 

·         Dr James Moroka Road near Motswedi House

Members of the community are hereby notified that the above mentioned government offices will not be accessible through vehicles. However, roads will be closed for a limited time until after the event.

Motorists are therefore advised to use alternative nearby streets and to cooperate with the law enforcement officials in order to ensure general safety and that daily activities which are not part of the Inauguration continue without any hindrance.
