POTCHEFSTROOM: In a heart-wrenching incident, an infant was discovered abandoned in Steve Biko Street, Unit 2, Mmabatho, sparking a plea from the police for community assistance.

On Monday morning, 22 January 2024, a vigilant woman stumbled upon a bag along the fence. To her shock, she heard the cries of a baby emanating from within. Upon investigation, she uncovered a baby girl, only about five days old, carefully wrapped in a towel. Acting swiftly, the woman transported the infant to the Unit 9 clinic, from where she was later transferred to Mahikeng Provincial Hospital for necessary medical attention.
