The last increase of the Coronavirus cases in the North West Province was on Saturday, 18 April 2020, where 24 people was the total and still is today, 20 April 2020. This is despite the numbers consistently increasing nationwide. On Sunday, 19 April 2020, the Minister of Health Dr. Zweli Mkhize announces that South Africa now has 3158 confirmed positive cases of COVID19.

Recoveries in the North West Province has increase by 3 Patients. The province now has a a total of 13 people who have recovered from the Novel Coronavirus. 10 of the people who have recovered are from the Bojanala Platinum District, two in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District and one in the Ngaka Modiri Molema District

According to the department of health in the North West Province has confirmed that the one patient who was previously announced to be in ICU has now been removed from the facility and is doing well in the Hospital ward.
