Amongst the 410 that were announced buy the Minister of Health, Dr. Zweli Mkhize, on Friday, 10 April 2020, to have recovered from the novel Coronavirus, 3 were patients from the North West Province. Many will see such statistics as a beacon of hope as South Africa is doing all it can to fight this virus. “Our healthworkers are fighting in a heroic way and number of recoveries is 410 people” said Minister Mkhize.

The Department of Health in the North West Province has elaborated on the Minister’s announcement regarding the rising number of patients in the province. According to the Provincial Department, the 3 new COVID19 cases are from Rustenburg, with 2 of the cases and Klerksdorp, with other case. The Department is encouraging the people of the Province to maintain social Distancing and to avoid crowded places.
