
South Africa’s COVID19 confirmed cases has of Friday, 10 April 2020, passed the 2000 mark, but encouragingly, in his announcement today, Minister of Health, Dr. Zweli Mkhize, also announced that there are 410 people who have been confirmed to have recovered from the virus.
The North West Province continues to see a rise in it’s positive Coronavirus cases, 18 cases is now the total. The MEC of Health in the North West Province, Madoda Sambatha, is urging the people of the North West Province to take part in the Mass Screening and Mobile Testing. Sambatha expresses that by doing so, this would give us an indication of how widespread the virus is across the province.
Minister Mkhize also announced 6 new deaths related to the Coronavirus. “As at today number of confirmed COVID19 cases are 2003, the number of tests conducted are 73 028 and the number of deaths is now 24” reported Dr. Mkhize.
