VRYBURG — Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash after a minibus taxi overturned on Moffat Street near Mompati Mall on Sunday afternoon, 31 August 2025.

According to Dr. RSM District SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Tryphosa van Rooyen, initial findings indicate the driver—who was alone in the vehicle—lost control, causing the taxi to overturn. The driver was taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Police have opened a case of reckless or negligent driving. Further details on the driver’s condition and the exact cause of the crash will form part of the ongoing investigation.
