HUHUDI – Police in Huhudi have opened an inquest following the discovery of the body of a 20-year-old woman, Boipelo Cawe, who commited suicide on Sunday, 10 May 2026.

According to police, no foul play is suspected at this stage, although investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death are continuing.

Sources close to the deceased have alleged that the circumstances leading to Cawe taking her own life may have been linked to a relationship dispute involving a reported love triangle. However, these claims have not been officially confirmed by police.

An inquest docket has been opened to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the woman’s death.

According to various reports, Cawe originate from Morokweng  near Ganyesa, and was staying in Huhudi for employment purposes , as she worked for one of the retail outlets at Mompati Mall, in Vryburg. 

Police have urged members of the public to refrain from spreading unverified information while the investigation remains ongoing.
