The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has officially announced the payment dates for November 2025social grants. Beneficiaries are urged to take note of the correct schedule and disregard false information being shared on social media.
According to SASSA, payments will be made as follows:
• Older Person’s Grants: from Tuesday, 04 November 2025
• Disability Grants: from Wednesday, 05 November 2025
• Children’s Grants: from Thursday, 06 November 2025

The agency reminded beneficiaries that once their grant has been deposited into their account, it remains available for withdrawal at any time, and there is no need to rush or form queues on the first day.
SASSA also encouraged beneficiaries who may not have received their grant on the expected date to visit their nearest SASSA office immediately, as they may be due for a review or need to update personal details.
Beware of Fake “Double Payment” Messages

SASSA has issued a strong warning against fake news posts claiming that there will be a “double payment week” starting on 25 October 2025. These misleading messages — which have been circulating widely on social media — are false and not issued by SASSA.
The agency has confirmed that no double payments are planned, and all grants will be paid strictly according to the official schedule.
Beneficiaries are urged to verify all updates via SASSA’s official channels:
• Website: www.sassa.gov.za
• WhatsApp: 082 046 8553
• Toll-free helpline: 0800 60 10 11
SASSA urges communities to help stop the spread of misinformation by sharing verified updates and reminding one another to rely only on official SASSA communication.
