A total of 806 people were screened for COVID19 , 2 of which were showing symptoms. This was in Motswedi Village, in zeerust, on Monday, 06 April 2020, during Premier Professor Job Mokgoro’s Inaugural crusade of mass screening and mobile testing across the North West Province. The two that with symptoms are referred for testing.

On Tuesday, 07 April 2020, the MEC of Health in the North West Province, reported that there is no confirmed positive case in Motswedi village. Here the MEC was driving home the core reason why the mass testing and screening needed to conducted at that particular village.
The next stop for the Premier and his team was in The Bojanala Platinum District, in Rustenburg, today 07 April 2020. Rustenburg has five confirmed cases for Coronavirus of the seven in the district.
Yet again in Minister Dr. Zweli Mkhize’s, Minister of Health, report today the numbers of the confirmed Coronavirus cases have risen. This time by 63 new cases , totaling the number positive COVID19 cases to 1749. No new cases reported in the North West Province and the death toll has increased by 1 new deaths in the country, but no death has occurred in the North West Province.
