Ganyesa, 25 October 2025 ā The North West police have opened a murder case after the body of Constable Boikanyo Molale (30) was discovered at about 05:30 in Thokoza Section, Ganyesa, outside Vryburg.

According to a statement from the Office of the North West SAPS Provincial Commissioner, preliminary investigations indicate the off-duty constable, attached to Ganyesa Visible Policing, was assaulted by an unknown number of assailants. He was certified dead at the scene.
Police have arrested two suspects, aged 22 and 27, in connection with the incident. They are expected to appear in court soon. The motive for the attack remains unclear, and investigators are working to trace additional suspects believed to be involved.
Community members, friends and those who knew Constable Molale have expressed outrage at the incident, while condolences continue to pour in from across the district.
Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General (Dr) Ryno Naidoo expressed shock and sadness at the killing. He conveyed condolences to Constable Molaleās family, relatives, and colleagues, and directed the investigation team to ātrack and bring the remaining suspects to book to face the full might of the law.ā
