The African National Congress (ANC) has announced its premier candidates for various provinces, and among them is Lazarus “Lazzy” Mokgosi for the North West Province. This announcement follows a rigorous selection process conducted by the ANC National Officials, aimed at identifying capable and ethical leaders to drive transformation and improve the lives of citizens.

The selection process, observed by ANC Electoral Committee Chairperson Cde Kgalema Motlanthe, focused on key areas outlined in the ANC’s priorities for 2024. These include building an inclusive economy, addressing the cost of living, investing in people, defending democracy, promoting social cohesion, and advancing freedom.

Lazzy Mokgosi, a Member of the North West Provincial Legislature and Deputy Provincial Chairperson of the ANC, emerged as the candidate best suited to lead the province towards a better future. His track record within the ANC and his dedication to public service were highlighted as key factors in his nomination.

In a statement issued by ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula, the ANC National Officials expressed confidence in Lazzy Mokgosi’s ability to tackle the challenges facing the North West Province. The ANC renewal process aims to restore trust and confidence in the party’s leadership, and Lazzy Mokgosi’s nomination aligns with this vision of renewal and progress.

As the ANC Premier candidate for the North West Province, Lazzy Mokgosi will be tasked with leading initiatives to improve governance, address socio-economic challenges, and promote development and prosperity for all residents of the province.
