VRYBURG – A simple act of kindness is making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients receiving care at the Naledi Sub-District Hospital.
The Naledi Sub-District Department of Health has expressed its appreciation to Remmogo Kgolong Social Club and Nkamodira Car Wash & Chesanayama ( & Social Club) for their initiative of providing soup to patients at the Huhudi healthcare facility, on Monday, 15 June 2026.

According to the Department, the gesture reflects the values of compassion, empathy and Ubuntu, while offering comfort and encouragement to patients during challenging times.
In a message of thanks, the Naledi Sub-District praised the community groups for their generosity and commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society.
“Your generosity and commitment bring comfort, warmth and hope to patients during difficult times,” the Department said.

The initiative saw volunteers preparing and distributing warm meals to patients, demonstrating the important role that community organisations can play in supporting local healthcare services beyond medical treatment alone.
The gesture has been welcomed as an example of community solidarity, with residents and healthcare workers alike recognising the positive impact that small acts of kindness can have on the well-being of patients.
As communities continue to face social and economic challenges, initiatives such as these serve as a reminder that the spirit of Ubuntu remains alive in Vryburg, where local organisations are stepping forward to care for those in need.
“It is through acts of kindness like these that communities are strengthened and hope is restored,”the Department noted in its message of appreciation.
