A 39-year-old man has died following an alleged domestic dispute in Colridge, Vryburg, in the early hours of Saturday, 6 June 2026.
According to police, officers were called to a local hospital where they were informed that a man had succumbed to injuries after allegedly being stabbed in the upper body with a sharp object.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident occurred at a residence in Colridge following an argument between the deceased and his wife. Police subsequently arrested the woman in connection with the incident.

The suspect is expected to appear before the Vryburg Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 8 June 2026, facing a charge of murder.
The incident forms part of a broader concern over domestic-related violence across communities. Acting North West Provincial Commissioner, Major General (Dr) Ryno Naidoo, condemned the loss of life and urged residents to seek peaceful ways of resolving disputes before they escalate into violence.
Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing are continuing.
