MOROKWENG — A planned appearance by amapiano hitmaker DJ Karri at Morokweng’s Rockville Annual Bash has been cancelled, with the artist’s team blaming poor communication and late payment by the event promoter.
In a message shared with supporters, DJ Karri’s camp said the artist “will not be able to come and perform” as per the gig guide, alleging that the promoter was not communicating effectively and that the outstanding balance payment for the booking had not been settled in time.

Screenshots circulating on social media show attempts by DJ Karri’s representatives to reach the promoter via calls and messages, raising concerns about unclear logistics and outstanding payment ahead of the event.

Despite the cancellation, the artist’s team urged fans to continue supporting the event, adding that DJ Karri would visit Morokweng again soon.
Rockville Annual Bash is billed to take place on Tuesday, 23 December at New Horizon (Disang’s Place), Morokweng, with a line-up that includes DJ 9 and Tribby Wadi Bhoz alongside additional DJs and performers listed on the event poster. Ticket prices on the flyer range from R80 to R250, with different entry times and a VIP seating option.
At the time of publishing, the promoter had not responded to requests for comment regarding the allegations of non-payment and communication breakdown.
