The Minister of Health Dr. Zweli Mkhize on Monday, 13 April 2020, announced yet another increase of the positive confirmed cases in South Africa. After over 80 000 people who were tested nationwide, 2272 were identified to having contracted COVID19.

The Department of Health in the North West Province have confirmed that 3 new positive cases were identified of the novel virus were identified in the province. This increases the Provincial tally to 22 cases. All the 3 cases are said to be from the provincial epicenter of the outbreak, in the Bojanala Platinum District. “All three cases for Covid19 announced by Health Minister Dr Zweli MKhize last night for North West Province are in Madibeng Local Municipality. Two cases are in Hartebeespoort and the other case is in Brits taking number of confirmed cases in Bojanala District to 14.” Said the Provincial Department.
